Yang Liu

Yang Liu is a Ph.D student in Environmental Engineering from Nanjing, China. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and a M.S. in Engineering & Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University. His research is primarily focused on using optimization techniques to improve the operational efficiency of the water and power infrastructure, especially through their optimized coordination. Currently, he is working on optimizing the demand response participation by water supply systems in an evolving electricity market. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing soccer, basketball, watching documentaries, and road trips into the wilder nature.
